COMMENTARY: Donald Trump must restore election integrity
review journal ^ | 11/17/2018 | Wayne Allyn Root

It’s no secret that I believe we have a big problem in America. We have lost “election integrity.” It’s no secret that I believe voter fraud is going on across America — with Democrats winning races based on mysterious, magical ballots appearing out of nowhere. It’s no secret I believe illegal aliens are voting in large numbers. But the time for talk is over.

Now is the time for solutions and actions — specifically executive orders by President Donald Trump. He must act alone because Congress never will. Democrats will never fix the system. Democrats claim there is no voter fraud. They don’t see a problem.

But there is no reason for Democrats to object to any of my proposals. Not one of my proposals will stop a single legal American citizen from voting. Not one of them will stop a person of color from voting. Not one of them will ever cost Americans living in poverty a single red cent. There is no downside of any kind if you really believe there is no fraud.

Trump must single-handedly guarantee election integrity for 2020. Only he can do it. He must rule by executive order.

First, the president must issue an executive order supporting national voter ID for all future federal elections. Why would anyone object to making sure all voters are exactly who they say they are? Liberals will call it “racist” and an attempt at “voter suppression.” I have the answer to that.

If we don’t fix this in the next two years Trump will not be re-elected and we will become North Mexico.

Totally agree. I hope President Trump does all that he can do.

But I think elections are controlled at the state level, so he may not be able to help people who don’t want help. Now, Florida has a Republican governor, Republican state legislature, and Republican AG — so they SHOULD cleanup the Democrat corruption. But Philadelphia? If President Trump can fix Philadelphia it would be great. But I don’t see how it’s possible.

But that’s racist, or fascist, or something.

Yea, it needs to be done. A whole lot of s#!t needs to be done. But does the man have any GD allies he can count on to help?

Void all voter registrations nationwide, and make all voter re-register, in person, with photo ID.

That at least will get rid of the dead voters.

Then ink the fingers of those who vote, at the poling places, like they do in many other countries and we do in Iraq.

That will end voting at multiple sites.

End early and absentee and provisional voting. If you can’t physically make it to your poling booth, well, sorry.

Establish a fee for voting. A ten dollar fee (to help pay for the election) will mean that phony votes will have to be accompanied by money. 20,000 phony votes would require $200,000; and money is difficult to inject into the system, and traceable.

I think you are correct.

Elections are the states’ responsibility. We can see how corrupt even state and local governments are by the states’ failure to make elections secure

“But I think elections are controlled at the state level...”

If that were the case, then Federal judges could not insert themselves into every vote recount, as they did in Georgia and Florida, nor rule on re-districting, or rule on voter ID.

Dear President Trump . Please assume full plenary powers. Disband Congress . At least the House. Our nation needs a leader , not a cabal of nit-wits , nannies and nincompoops. YOU are that leader. Lead us ! Hail Trump !

>Establish a fee for voting.

Intentionally blocked by the 24th amendment back in the early '60s. I understand why it was enacted, but I'm still not sure it was the correct fix for that problem. At least we cannot blame this one on the courts.

I agree with WAR in principle, but any EO Trump issues will subsequently be challenged in court. And who knows how a judge may rule. What will Trump do if the court overrules it - defy it? Hell, he won’t even defy the judge that ordered Acosta be given his WH press pass back. Trump has few allies in Congress, and fewer still among state AGs. As I’ve posted elsewhere on FR, I fear America is irretrievably lost.

I agree with everything you have proposed.

The essence of you post is that the voting process has become too complex to be monitored, with absentee ballots, early voting, poll voting and provisional ballots. But I truly believe that this complexity is what Dems want and they have cried recisism over and over to make it happen.

We need to go back to simple. And if you are too lazy or stupid to figure out how to vote, too bad.

It’s too late. This was objective #1 when he had both houses of Congress. Democrats benefit from rampant fraud. They will not assist in eliminating it.

I don’t know the legal details, but we certainly see federal judges over-stepping themselves on a regular basis. I believe the DOJ under Trump has indicated an interest in slapping down federal judges who think they control things which they certainly do not control.

If nothing else, it would be nice to have a firm precedent that federal judges CANNOT insert themselves into every vote recount. Or rule on redistricting. Or Voter ID.

Less than two years to do it or the Republic is dead. We actually have until January to use the majority. I am very pessimistic about things.

I’m all for states rights, but some things need to be federalized and elections are one of them. As awful as TSA is, imagine what chaos would ensue if every state had it’s own rules and policies and procedures for getting on an airplane.

Elections are too important to allow corrupt political operatives to manipulate them to cheat.
