A substitute teacher in St. Louis was banned from the district after one kid called the teacher a bully because he dared to thank the children for standing for the Pledge of Allegiance.
The teacher, 66-year-old Jim Furkin, reportedly thanked his class for standing for the pledge, but not every kid stood and one who did not stand said the teacher bullied him by thanking his classmates, according to Fox 2 Now.

You can bet the kids parents are proud of their little sh*t.
The district did that teacher a favor. He can now take his skill-set elsewhere where it’s appreciated. The kids who he teaches will turn into successful people. The ones in the old district will be Democratic socialist snowflakes, living on the government dole.
The Lord will open a door for him, where a new teaching job awaits.
When I was a kid, a bully was someone who stole your lunch money, or beat you up for the fun of it. Maybe 10 years ago a bully became someone who didn’t appreciate his gay classmates. Now bully has evolved into someone who slights a snowflake by not thanking him for something he didn’t do. Do I have that right?
Oh, but you see, he’s had a PATTERN of misconduct...
He once took a picture of the class so the teacher he was subbing for could know who was not participating in the assignment.
He also gave out his twitter information when a student asked about books he’d written.
Yep, yep, bad bad sub, must get him out of the classroom...
Back in the day, we would rearrange that little twerp’s face as soon as the opportunity arose. That kind of sheet is simply not tolerated.
By the way, I like the name of this publication for some reason...
He THANKED them?
When I was in high school if you didn’t stand you risked getting pulled to your feet by your shirt collar.
I was in HS during Vietnam and I saw a male teacher do this to some smart kid who refused to stand.
We were told we didn’t have to salute the flag if we didn’t want to, but we had to stand.
So once again, 1 dissenter can dictate the negative outcome of an event vs. the majority.
I want to meet this hero. The same thing happened to me last Friday when I tried to motivate a black student to work. Got thrown out of the school. This dude is a hero to me. Jim Furkin you’re a real American!
Teach your children well.
