Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies, an automotive products maker at 555 Marathon Blvd., will mark its 40th anniversary in Findlay with an open house and job fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Freudenberg will be hiring for a salaried position, some lab technicians, and 30 production jobs. Some of the jobs are maintenance and journeyman-level positions.
Well interview people on the spot, said Stephanie Frazier, human resources manager.
Some of the hiring will be to fill openings made by turnover, and some will be for additional positions, she said.
Freudenberg reported employing 248 in February.
The nationwide shortage of manufacturing workers is affecting Freudenberg-NOK, too, Frazier said.
The Findlay plant manufactures dynamic transmission seals, transmission accumulator pistons and transmission thrust washers.
The production positions for which the company will be hiring involve semi-automated work, she said. The jobs do involve standing on ones feet a lot.
We offer a wide variety of jobs that can fit many people and the work is light industrial and very clean, said Roy Schroeder, vice president lead center manager of automotive for Freudenberg-NOK. We have had double-digit growth the last 10 years with a recent expansion. We are actively looking to fill all our positions.
Plant tours will be given to everyone on Saturday, even those who are not job seekers. Food trucks will be serving in the parking lot.
People will be able to eat outside or inside the building in employee cafe areas.
They used to have a plant in Indiana, too. One of my friends was an engineer for them.
It was bright and sunny, with snow covering the ground. But the number of shuttered factories made it a truly depressing experience. Ill never forget it.
Good for Freudenburg 🇺🇸🇺🇸
They have to. Computer security.
