As the deep state is firmly entrenched in Washington DC bureaucracy, even with Trump as president, they can still pump out bogus weather papers and reports, among other things to fit their want-to-be scenarios.

I agree we are still in a Pause. However, it appears that North American weather is still dominated by Pacific Ocean temperature cycles, i. e. the El Nino, La Nina patterns. I think it’s premature to declare the onset of the next Ice Age, although I agree that the Antarctic and Greenland ice core data suggest we aren’t far away. I just want it a few thousand years from now, so my kids and grandkids and their, well etc., won’t see it.

Cooling temperatures also kill, a lot.

Cooling is something that can be handled with our level of technology. It does not have to be a stumble much less a downfall for our civilization.
But... it might be. If we are prohibited from using that technology in time.
People will put up with a lot. But threaten their families and they will tear you apart with their bare hands if that is all that is left.
Makes me wonder if the reason the break up of the family is item number one on the statists lists of things to push.
