In my opinion, Fascism has been the dominant political philosophy since early in the 20th century. Sure, Mussolini and Hitler made it famous and they lost WWII, but Fascism didn’t suffer much of a set back. When Eisenhower warned about the “Military-Industrial Complex” I think he was warning us about the continuation of Fascism. It’s alive and kicking today. Some folks think you only have Fascism if you’re actively killing millions of Jews. Well, No. Fascism is about big government control, loss of religion, loss of morality, loss of individual rights, and economic power shared by Big Government and Big Business. It’s Globalism. Only Trump stands in its way now.

Thank God Trump got in. I’m not an American, but I pray for him everyday.

I know Canada will sign this. I do hope we can fix this next year, if not, civility will be off the books.

It will be time for separation or becoming a US state even. That’s all far more preferable than waiting to die.

This definition seems to be still abit cloudy. I looked it up on the net, and here is a concise one from dictionary.com:

========

Fascism

noun

1. ( sometimes initial capital letter ) a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.

2. ( sometimes initial capital letter ) the philosophy, principles, or methods of fascism.

3. ( initial capital letter ) a political movement that employs the principles and methods of fascism, especially the one established by Mussolini in Italy 1922–43.

If the FBI had a court order to search the person's home, this is not fascism. We do not have a dictator, Criticism of the resident and the various branches of federal, state, and local governments is rampant and outrageously unsurpressed. Someone needs to tone things down a biy on this AntiFa stuff; sounds more like Fa than Ani in itself. They are the ones that want to take away the liberties in speech, religion, and dress.

You are so right. In his introduction to his book, THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, C.S. Lewis, said, “We must picture HELL as a state where everyone is perpetually concerned about his own dignity and advancement, where everyone has a grievance, and lives the deadly passions of envy, self-importance, and resentment. The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid “dens of crime” that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration and labor camps. In those we see it’s final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern.” Lewis goes on to say, “For, of course, “dog eat dog” is the principle of the whole organization. Everyone wishes everyone else’s discrediting, demotion, and ruin; everyone is an expert in the confidential report, the pretended alliance, the stab in the back. Over all their good manners and expressions of respect, their “tributes” to one another’s invaluable services form a thin cruse, which every now and then gets punctured, and the scalding lava of their hatred spurts out.” Once Trump was elected President, we have seen nothing from the American left, especially the press, but scalding lava and I believe Dr. Lewis gives us a very clear explanation as to the genesis of such hatred. Fascism may not be actively killing millions at present, but left in place, it will get there for the loss of religion and morality guarantees that.

Fascism and progressivism have a lot in common, and they borrowed ideas from each other. People like Dinesh D’Souza, Jonah Goldberg, Glenn Beck, and others have written about the connections.
