Sounds like a very interesting project Sopater!

I’ll pass it on to my wife, a 30-year veteran of Public Schools and a Conservative Christian to boot!

I admire what you are doing, but we homeschooled our daughter for 11 of her 12 years at home and found a mix of David Barton and Wall Builders along with Abeka filled every possible need we had. Having access to older encyclopedias written in the 1960's or before, contained less PC revisions and contained more original material to see the truth. Our daughter went on to college and majored in Political Science and minored in Psychology.

Today, when we see a quote from a Founder, it may have a "..." mixed in with the quote, but when we seek out the original quote, it usually has a mention of God or a Bible verse where the "..." is inserted. They don't want your child to realize that the founders were solid Christians and our country was founded on Biblical principles. Today's books are probably written after the 1970's and 80's and are about a third the thickness that the author first wrote. Alexis de Tocqueville Democracy in America today is about half the thickness of the one I read in school. If one of the main deductions he came to about our success was that the nation was a Christian nation, how can a new reader get that from a new version that leaves out the verbiage that proves that?

Wall Builders has more original texts written by the actual person than even the Smithsonian. You can buy video's and books that are exact copies of what the original author said. Newer versions seem to deduce that the Founders were deists or even atheistic when it's so easy to prove otherwise. Abeka's history was so beautiful, my wife and I would watch the video's with my daughter and weep. I grew up in the '1950's and 60's, so my school books were very accurate and raised up freedom loving citizens that knew how this country was formed. God bless what you are doing, but it's probably easier to just subscribe to David Barton and Abeka than to redesign the wheel.

My four grandchildren are all homeschooled and are turning into some the finest people one could ever hope for.

And yes they are Trump supporters like their parents and grandparents.

I hope the curriculum is more accurate than to portray the “Rough Riders” charging up Kettle Hill (not San Juan) on horseback. TR was the only one who had a horse.
