There’s a looong indoctrination period for the chief’s mess....at least there was when I was in.
My dad was a Chief Petty Officer on the Valley Forge. He died a year ago.
Pinned as in the pin is placed on your shirt without the stoppers (?), a line is formed, and everyone gets a shot hitting the pointed projection into your skin?
Mime was a Gunnery Sergeamt who was im 3 wars.
My buddy in High School went Navy and I went Army. His first assignment was the Saratoga. Mine was jumping out of a C-141.
Same as my E-5 and E-6.
Wonder what the Chief’s initiation looks like today. Back in the day, it could be kinda brutal.
