NASHVILLE, Tenn.Nokian Tyres P.L.C. has opened its North American headquarters office in Nashville, housing the company's sales, customer service, IT, logistics and marketing teams.
As many as 30 employees will work from the renovated facility, which has around 6,000 square feet of space and features an open-concept work environment. Several employees chose to move to Nashville, while others remain at the Finnish tire maker's previous North American headquarters in Colchester, Vt., which continues to serve as an office and distribution warehouse.
Mark Earl, senior vice president, Americas, said employees have received a "warm welcome" in the Volunteer state.
"We are pleased to be a member of the Nashville and Tennessee business communities, and we look forward to deepening relationships here and continuing our successful growth," he said.
Nokian, which emphasizes its employees' health and well-being at its locations, said the workspace concept fosters collaboration and allows employees to work where they feel most comfortable, from couches and tables to ergonomic, adjustable-height desks....

More winning.
I just put a set of Nokian Rotiiva AT tires on my truck today. They are so much better than the Bridgestone tires that were replaced.
Excellent snow tires, by reputation. Dont have need for such here.
They do make the best snow tires in the world.
For the rest of the story....
From a pure logistics standpoint, VT is never going to compete with TN. Silly to think otherwise. VT might have made an OK location for a sales office, but once they got into the production business here, somewhere more in the center of the country makes a whole lot more sense. And also in the center of car manufacturing, if you look at where new plants are going - AL, GA, MS, SC, TN, KY, OH, IN, etc.
It was never about location.
It was about taxpayer funded bribes.
And if that sort of crony capitalism actually worked, Upstate NY would be thriving instead of a ghost town.
Pay special attention to the bit about clawbacks in my link above. That was especially instructive.
Truly unbelievable studded snow tires, have 2 sets of Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8’s on our two vehicles.
So good it’s almost like driving upon dry pavement. When the weather warms up (or you need to drive to Tucson for a winter break) the light alloy studs ‘retract’ into the tire as the rubber in this ‘stud pocket’ softens up and the stud does virtually no damage to dry roads.
Their studless tires are superior as well, as are the entire line of tires they make.
This is a really good deal for the USA!
