A Pittsburgh-based company with a facility near Chesnee in Mooresboro, N.C., is investing $160 million to reopen a zinc processing facility this spring and hire 300 workers.
American Zinc Products has begun hiring for jobs that pay an average of $16.25 an hour, such as logistics coordinator, control room operator, material handler, safety specialist and operations supervisor.
A hiring event is planned for Jan. 26 at Spartanburg Community College....

That was my first thought after reading “Chesnee”, so I looked up Mooresboro, N.C.
Sure ‘nuff, it is just north of the NC/SC state line and definitely in the Chesnee area.
