Good for Cliff on beating back this failed attempt to destroy him. I came to know of him and his music via his association with Larry Norman:

Wow, I had no idea there was such a thing. I bought that album (In another land) on vinyl from a little used record shop in Windsor Ontario, back when a buddy and I used to make the odd trip to Canucka to get some good food and look for bargain bin records.
Hearing Larry & Cliff together like that is great - thanks for sharing!
Really? I don’t think I ever heard that.
I was superficially acquainted with Larry Norman: I lived near his parents, saw him locally once or twice, and usually spoke to him before or after any of his concerts (which I always attended when I could).
There are too many to recount, but the Day in the Sun, an all-day outdoor festival, a la Day on the Green, ending with Larry, was a high point. Many other acts performed, Randy Stonehill included, of course.
I actually enjoyed People! before I knew who Norman was.
LN lived in the UK in the 1970s, and was friends with Paul McCartney and others, so I should not be surprised he knew Cliff Richard.
