If I look, on this Xmas Day, into our past at the things that have shaped our western culture of freedom and given us victories like the allied triumph over European fascism and the Japanese war machine in 1945, I hope that we can reclaim what we were and re-establish justice for ourselves in our own world.

Since his famous ride down the escalator, candidate and then President Donald Trump has been continuously underestimated by his opponents.

But he is now leading America away from senseless war. President Obama got a “feelgood” Nobel Peace prize before he oversaw the continuation of such wars. Donald Trump is insisting on prioritizing the protection of American sovereignty and starting to bring soldiers back home. Trump has not started any new wars.

The Philadelphia Story was made onstage in 1939 and onscreen in 1940 by an America that had kept itself out of other peoples’ wars. Katharine Hepburn had been labelled “box office poison” but with this film she rebuilt her career and went on to win more best acting Oscars than any other man or woman ever. Her first was in 1933 and her fourth was an astonishing 48 years later in 1981.

This happened in an America that could examine itself critically and with humor and seek to become better and stronger. This was the America that played such a huge role in liberating the numerous nations captured by the fanatical totalitarianism of imperial Japan and the European fascists.

The balance between discipline and freedom is never easy. On and off-screen Katharine Hepburn knew how to handle both unlike anybody else.

So does The Donald.

God bless America.

Katharine Hepburn was a notorious adulterer.

Following this decline in her career, Hepburn took action to create her own comeback vehicle. She left Hollywood to look for a stage project, and signed on to star in Philip Barry’s new play, The Philadelphia Story. It was tailored to showcase the actress, with the character of socialite Tracy Lord incorporating a mixture of humor, aggression, nervousness, and vulnerability. Howard Hughes, Hepburn’s partner at the time, sensed that the play could be her ticket back to Hollywood stardom and bought her the film rights before it even debuted on stage. The Philadelphia Story first toured the United States, to positive reviews, and then opened in New York at the Schubert Theatre on March 28, 1939. It was a big hit, critically and financially, running for 417 performances and then going on a second successful tour.

President Trump is the first president in a very long time who understands that getting involved in foreign civil wars is stupid. It not only costs us Trillions of dollars, money which we don’t have and must borrow from China, Japan, UK and other foreigners and owe them interest payments in perpetuity because we can’t pay off any principle.

But even worse, the best that America has to offer, the brave young men and women in the military are killed or maimed by the thousands. For what? To build democracies where people are not ready for it? The largest by population democracy on earth was created in 1947 without any help from America or anyone else. Because the people were ready for it. It was created 100% internally by the people.

It really does not matter who controls the oil in middle-east. Because they must sell it on the market to buy necessities and other goods. They can’t live on eating sand & desert does not grow much food.

President Trump...best election ever!

defeated for Congress,
elected to Congress,
defeated for Congress,
defeated for Senate,

Unfortunately Katharine Hepburn was a huge lefty, atheist, and follower of Margaret Sanger.

Hepburn is adored for her character acting and her unbridled talent and energy. It all got her a long way.

I was always saddened and deplored, by her basic atheism and her Sanger loving abortion tolerance, but she was raised that way, admired her mother very much for her Womens Rights affiliation, and also Hepburn must have been heart broken and spiritually confused to find her adolescent brother hanging in his room, in their New England home.

Katherine kind of never had a chance. A practicing Catholic, Spencer Tracy reportedly never considered divorcing his own wife to marry Katherine. Katherine was either so hardened, or so admired Tracy, that she didn’t seem to care. Probably, both?

went on to win two more Oscars in the 1960's and an all-time record fourth in 1981.

One of those was for "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner", a trite movie that has not aged well, and including an actress (Katharine Houghton, Hepburn's niece) who didn't belong in the same room with Tracy/Hepburn/Poitier. Hepburn won that award in part because the voters wanted to show how progressive they were, and also as a "Lifetime Achievement Award" for Hepburn. She was 10x better in "The Philadelphia Story", but unfotunately was beaten out by Ginger Rogers in "Kitty Foyle".

I think Donald Trump will go down in history as one of the most important freedom securing presidents in history. Up there with Washington, Jefferson, and Reagan.

Unless the commies win...

Then they will have never existed.
