What I’d like to find is a replacement for the hideous iTunes. What music software do you use?
You can download MP3s from YouTube music videos.
https://freegrabapp.com/
BTW, I discovered that on the drloudness-war site, adding it to the list of sites needing “Compatibility View” in IE 11 will restore the search fields, but they are unlabeled, for me appearing near the top left of my window.
Also, at least for me, the top field is the artist, the “middle” field is the album name: Use either or, preferably in some cases, both. What appears to be a 3rd / lowest field will turn green when moused over and is actually the “go search” button.
Thanks - I’ll check it out!
You can pretty much buy any song for $1.00 from various sites/services.

Or, use a youtube downloader - browser addon. Most will allow downloading the audio only as mp3
For me, it depends. If the artist is long gone/dead, then I don’t mind downloading for free but I wouldn’t try to get some new music with the artist still living, thereby stealing from him/her/them.
Now that's an interesting idea. Is there a 3rd party application that will access the full Apple iTunes library and facilitate transactions? I kinda think Apple would not allow that, I could be wrong though. Anybody know for sure?
Thank you (really, all of you) for the input.
This is a handy list.
I’ve looked a bit at amazon and am hoping I can fully understand how it will work.
I have amazon tunes to but with the prime subscription. It kinda sucks or I’m not doing it right. It seems that everytime I get in my car the playlist starts over. So you hear the same thing over and over. Is there some sort of station like a radio? 100’s of songs? I can’t find anything with like more the 50?
Or do you have to get the Amazon music subscription for better choices?
Thanks
ROFLMAO!!
i’m not even 100 years old!!!
50 and already much more confused about technology than my 80 year old aunt who has a Microsoft surface and a bluetooth :)
THANK YOU
Interesting discussion of MP3 quality here:

Keep in mind that the difference has been amplified.
In actual A-B comparison of a 192 kbps MP3 vs. even a .wav file, the audible difference as one switches back and forth between the MP3 and the .wav will be modest even if you have good source material, a very good sound system (or maybe just good headphones), and better than average ears.
OTOH, storage costs are now so low that FLAC files are very practical, and .wav files are not unreasonable. (I bought a 4 TB external HD for $80 plus tax on this last Black Friday.) Right now, Amazon has a PNY 128 GB USB 3.0 flash drive for $17.49.
You and I are exactly the same age.
BTW, get your aunt to a dentist. A blue tooth doesn’t sound like a healthy tooth. How are her gums?
