this is on the Repub House and falls right into traitor Ryan’s wheelhouse.....I remember when he “accepted” the Speaker position as long as his demands were met.....the other RINOs colluded with him to ensure the Dems got their way as the RINOs tried to act as if they were helpless.

I think people underestimate his ambition - the play he made to steal the nomination from Trump was legendary, and was only stopped when he was told that if he went through with it, not only would he be destroyed in November (by the Republican base sitting out the election), so would every other Republican on the ballot, down to dog catcher.
It’s great that he’s out of the House, but I really doubt he’s going away.
