Occasional Cortex may succeed in doing something similar here...but it won’t be for free. That is both a promise and a threat to the Communists here.
That's the wrong lesson from the parable.
The small boy has a large coat that doesn't fit him now, but what if the boy bought the coat because he knew he would need it when he grew into it in a few years?
The large boy didn't plan for the future, and so bought a coat that fit him when he was small, too. Now that he's outgrown his means, he takes the large coat from the small boy, leaving the small boy with nothing for his own future.
That's what Ocasio-Cortez wants to do from the rest of us who properly planned for our own futures instead of splurging on immediate pleasures. She wants to take our savings for our own future plans, and give it to people who either haven't similarly planned, or are just starting out and don't want the "suffering" of budgeting now for wealth later.
She wants our large coats because she thinks we don't need them now.
