No one owns any words of the english language. No one can tell other people certain words are off limits to them.

I agree with you that is the way it should be. And until recently it was that way.
However, you need to realize that things have changed. Today the thought police are real and powerful. Think twice before you violate one of their rules.
I know one word in particular that a certain powerful group can spew about but no one not born into the group can utter.
