IVANKA Trump will take part in the nomination process in the search for a new president of the World Bank, amid previous speculation she might run for the position herself.
The White House made the announcement on Tuesday. Ms Trump had previously been touted as a potential president of the global financial institution. But the White House confirmed on Tuesday she is not a contender for the post.
Ms Trump, a senior White House adviser, was asked to participate in the search for a new World Bank president by Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin.
She was asked because of her financial industry credentials, and because she has worked with World Bank leaders on a variety of projects.
In a statement, the White House said Mr Mnuchin and White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney “have asked Ivanka Trump to help manage the US nomination process as she's worked closely with the World Bank's leadership for the past two years”.

The “World Bank,” nothing more than a taxpayer subsidy to corrupt regimes. Show me where this has helped a nation break free of corruption. This is nothing more than money down an endless rat hole. Ivanka, you have better things to do.

The very best Word Bank President would be an American who sees the World Bank as another shithole down which the United States flushes its’ money.

When I dial back the ‘Time Machine’ to the date of May 14th, 2011, I am reminded that Monsieur Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former head of the IMF was in the news. Mr. Strauss-Kahn had been accused of sexually assaulting a hotel maid. Months later, he was succeeded by Mlle, Christine Lagarde.
Kushner, Ivanka, Joe Schmoe....they're just "part of the art"....i.e., the skillful process of Trump's means to a desired end.

You may be quite right. Ivanka had experience in the real world competitive business world. What do most politicians have? Their main talent is to give false promises in grat sounding campaign speeches.
Everything that Ivanka and her husband touch/recommend is ghastly!
Hell NO, she is not!
And Trump's GIGANTIC flaw, is that he STINKS ON ICE, when it comes to picking people for positions!
