Did you, JP, ever think that by posting an article the thread poster simply posted the article to allow people to discuss the subject of the article?

By not "participating in the discussion that follows" they are not necessarily, as you say, "comfortable with their own ‘facts’ and they are not unwilling to "understand more".

They place the article to allow a forum for discussion of the article. (Also, by posting an article, the poster is not necessarily an advocate for it's point of view -- if there is one.)

The few times I posted a thread for discussion ..I avoided making any additional comments..unless someone ask me a direct question..because I didn’t want to appear as though I was trying to control the post.
However, people who post only threads and never participate in any other threads..I don’t get...shy? Enemy spies? Shy enemy spies?
