Remember these names:
Senator Lamar Alexander
Senator Susan Collins
Senator Corey Gardner
Senator Johnny Isakson
Senator Lisa Murkowski
Senator Mitt Romney
They voted today to end the government shutdown without funding the Great Wall.
Romney leads the way
While speaking to reporters on Thursday, Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) stated that he believes border security should include a barrier on our southern border. He added that both parties need to negotiate, and hell vote to open our government and get people back to work.
Romney said, I believe that a border security program should include, as well, a barrier on our southern border. When the vote for the presidents proposal failed, we went to see the second alternative, I voted for that as well, again, because I want to see government get opened and government workers get paid.
That proposal also failed. And now its going to be up to Republican leadership and Democrat leadership to come together and begin to negotiate. Democrats have said theyre not willing to negotiate unless the governments open. Well, they tried their effort. I voted for it. It didnt happen. Now theyve got to negotiate. Weve got to have the leaders of both parties, including the Democrat Party, sit down with the president and work out a deal that deals with border security and gets this government open. I voted both times to open the government, Ill continue to vote to open our government and get people back to work.
Agreed.
The usual suspects.
You forget to mention MIKE LEE who voted against Funding for the wall and Ending the shut down.
We know, but the problem here is the people of UT.
This is why Romney lost his presidential bid. He’s the squishy part of the swamp.
The Democrat knives are out for Collins as well. I don't see her surviving 2020.
Gardner is from Colorado.
I hit the nail on the head - ahead of the vote - yesterday. I said Romney was waiting - to come into the discussion - AFTER other RINOS first made defeat for funding the wall likely.
Then he could say in his own smarmy way, that ONLY since funding the wall was going to fail anyway that: I was for the wall before voting to not fund the wall.
Being a mugwump - mug on one side of the fence and wump on the other - is being “Senatorial” to all RINOs.
“Collins is the only one representing a blue state, so she gets a pass.
The others are from red states and deserve to be dealt with harshly.”
I heard a piece by Steve Deace reviewing the voting records of Republicans from “Red” stated versus the voting records of Communists from “Purple” states. The Commiees in the “swing” states voted ultra-hard left(my own two senators are almost 100% commie, although you could argue that Virginia is now a commie stronghold) while the so-called Republicans from so-called Republican states voted almost as leftist as their commie counterparts.
Seriously, the Congress is at least 75% leftist regardless of party affiliation. Nearly 100% of the Dems are communists and upwards of 50% of the Republicans are as well. At this point the only thing that will save the nation is a profound spiritual revival.
Im, still, amazed that Senator Graham isnt part of the RINO CLUB, anymore.

As Chairman of the Judiciary Committee he has the power to drive the confirmation process for these federal judges THIS YEAR. Will he do this? His action on this front will define whether hes a RINO or not.
Not in the eyes of the press or a lot of people. I hope it changes soon but I am not seeing it yet.
If this is a game of chicken, the dims know the gop-e just blinked.
