They were trying to humiliate and quite possibly kill Stone. They could have easily asked his lawyer just to have him turn himself in. The charges are that he TRIED to get stolen emails. Not that he possessed tlstolen goods, nope, just that he tried to get them. Sadly, compared to what came out about the wire tapping of Trump, illegal use of the NSA database by fusion GPS, the lies to Congress by multiple US officials, and the preposterous lies to the FISA courts, as well as whole cloth made up slander put forth by the FBI as ‘evidence’ you had to expect something from Mueller.

Some good points, but I dont think Stone tried to get stolen emails. He only tried to find out if they had them and when they would be leaked. Something reporters would do if Wiki leaks had Trumps emails.
