Depending on what US state I am in or if back home in Israel I either carry a Ruger .40, a S&W revolver .357 7 shot (NYC — easiest to get a carry permit) or a government weapon (9mm) that has varied over the years of issuance.
Competent with all, not great with any.

I use my piece to shoot snakes on the farm, most at 5-7 yards i did get one at 35 yards or so, after 6 near misses at it swimming away.
