Today being the anniversary of FDR signing the EO that incarcerated all of the Japanese Americans, it is appropriate to think of this action as a major flexing of the Deep State Muscles. I think that the Deep State’s birth came in the Wilson Administration and most particularly in the passage of the 17th Amendment.
If President Trump can severely prune the Deep State and initiate the end of the 17th Amendment, he will indeed be the most transforming and Constitution-restoring of American Presidents.
