I agree. The Venezuelans happily elected Chavez, loved him while he bashed the United States, but NOW they want help from the country they hate so much? Screw them.
My biggest issue with US intervention is that if this escalates into a full-fledged civil war and we intervene militarily, we then "own" the basketcase country and all of its problems, which will in the end mean taking in tens if not hundreds of thousands of Venezuelan refugees.
