We're seeing exactly what we are warned about in Isaiah 13, Behold, I will stir up against them the Medes, who have no regard for silver and no desire for gold.
These old principles crop up over and over in the modern world. The West has considered economics to be its linchpin virtue. Reality steps up and says here’s a destructive threat that doesn’t give a hoot about economics.
We've completely forgotten what made America great. Tocqueville succinctly defines it, "America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great."
Murdering our unborn isn't good.
Promoting abominations, such as same-sex marriage, isn't good.
Slavery, taking half of what one makes to give to another, isn't good.
Favoring one group of citizens over another isn't good.
Allowing an invasion of non-citizens isn't good.
Limiting people's right to express their views isn't good.
Stealing elections, diluting citizen votes isn't good.
Attempting to bring down a duly elected president isn't good.
Corrupting the nation's press isn't good.
Militarizing our police isn't good.
Promoting one's party over the needs of the people isn't good.
