being peppered with pretty tough questions by Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, and never missed a beat. Never once strayed from his preferred talking points, never hesitated to give an evasive non-answer

With the Exception of Donald J Trump, that describes ALL of our Public Masters. They play clips of Gavin Newsome, our Governor, and these clowns can Talk for 30 minutes straight, without uttering a single comprehendible sentence of anything of substance.

I find it extremely funny that the openly gay candidate is named Butt Gig.

This is going to be a great campaign

As I often opine on here:

Never, never NEVER underestimate your opponents, real or potential. Anyone who does deserves to lose.

“packing the supreme court is Buttigieg’s favorite issue right now” Probably not the best phrasing for a gay guy named Buttigieg.

“Andrew Yang and Pete Buttigieg.”

Both are more concerned about male genitalia than actual policy.

The first Democratic presidential debate will take place this coming June.

The DNC has set out specific criteria for being included in the debate:

“Each candidate must have at least 1 percent support in three separate polls from a list of reputable state and national polling outfits determined by the committee. Candidates must also meet two fundraising thresholds: donations from at least 65,000 individuals, and 200 unique donors from at least 20 states.”

How will a virtually unknown Democratic wannabe be able to attract 65,000 donors, let alone 200 from 20 different states, between now and June unless he or she makes enough idiotic AOC-like statements on a regular basis to attract a flood of media attention that will propel tens of thousands of fools to grab for their checkbooks and throw their hard-earned dollars down the drain?

It would be the scam of the century, since of course the candidate would be able to keep all the money collected.

“I talked about Yang and his insane plan to just cut a $1,000 monthly check to all American adults...”

This may sound like pure Socialism, but it could actually be a move away from our current socialistic economic policies IF it is revenue neutral. Here’s why: it is not progressive (i.e. everyone gets the same amount), and it is only for citizens (assumably, though Democrats can’t be trusted not to give away the farm to non-citizens and even illegals or otherwise turn everyone into a citizen).

Caveat: I have not read Yangs particular proposal, but I am describing what advocates of Guaranteed Minimum Income (GMI) usually propose.

Would it cause inflation? Sure. The same way printing money does now. But since the U.S. dollar is the world’s reserve currency it would also be a small but universal tax on all of those other nations that piggyback off our economy and productivity. Productive people would be just as well-off if not better. And it has the potential to streamline and simplify a lot of inefficient government services.

I’m not particularly fond of a GMI, but I could support it if...

1. it is given ONLY to U.S. citizens
2. it is given equally to all (i.e. not means tested)
3. it is revenue neutral (and preferably does away with other existing programs by which the government “helps” the poor)

I would prefer that any GMI be tied to revenues generated by taxes and tariffs on intellectual property because citizens actually surrender some of our natural rights for the benefit of progress in science, technology, and art in order for the government to grant IP rights under laws and treaties. The reason this would be best is that ALL government programs have a way of becoming permanent and infinitely growing. Once you’ve got a $1000 per month, when inflation kicks in it needs to be $2000, and then $3000. Soon everyone wants to be a millionaire (without working for it). Tying it to an index would help prevent this. And the most logical index is one in which rights are being taken without compensation in the first place.
