So much for the democrats dreams that Mueller was going to issue a slew of indictments at the last minute before the report came down. I read some of them that seriously believed Don Jr., Kuschner etc would all be indicted.

Supposedly that was Weissman’s plan - he/Mueller met with Barr & wanted to indict. Barr asked them what facts they had, what probably cause - when they told him what they had, he told them it wasn’t good enough - “no”. So the story goes.
Anyway, Barr takes over DOJ about mid-Feb and approximately a month later, the Special Counsel report is being issued, this after Weissman more or less quits (after being told he couldn’t go after the Trump kids) & other people start leaving. I’m guessing Barr shut down the fishing expedition & malicious prosecutions. Now we’ll see how the report turns out. Interesting times.
