I didn't even think of the lack of personalities as part of the problem.

Then again, I stopped following baseball after a strike or two back.

I remember a boring period in baseball, maybe the latter 1980s, some people at work said they were going to the BoSox game. People not going pointed out the lackluster aspect, and the reply was "Oh, we're mostly going to do The Wave."

I probably should mention that ticket prices were much more reasonable, too.
