Roku is an ISP now?!? Who knew! Google Cloud/YouTube/SnapChat, etc. had an outage today. Google Cloud Services may be hosting your missing/not working service.
You don’t pay a monthly Roku fee? Like $5/mo?

Okay....I just remembered that I pay for an OANN subscription....it’s $5/mo.
We love our Roku(s)!!
Have 2 Roku’s...have never paid a monthly fee to Roku. Apps streaming on Roku may have a fee (HBO/CBS/Showtime/YouTube Premium/Netflix, etc., etc.) may have monthly fees.
Level 3 was having problems on the east coast today, as was google, youtube, gmail and cloud services.
Looks like i miss read your post.
Sorry bout that.
Anyways i spent the day watching netflix on my roku tv here in MA with no problems..
No, you’re not paying roku for streaming services. You bought a roku device that will play streaming services but those services are different entities.
“”” Whats a Roku account?
You need a Roku account to activate your device and access entertainment across thousands of streaming channels. There are no monthly equipment rental fees with Roku. Adding a payment method lets you easily rent/buy movies on demand or subscribe to popular services like Netflix. “””

A roku box is just a receiver.
Sparky...Hope you got your question answered.
Question about buying the Roku box for the FR users ...
If you do not have a subscription to any of the streaming services, is buying a Roku worthwhile. In other words is there enough “free” stuff to make it worthwhile?!
FReegards!
