President Trump might famously be obsessed with the size of his hands, but it was his large foot size that nearly caused an international incident.
Shinsuke Sugiyama, Japan’s ambassador to the United States, spilled a little bit of behind-the-scenes tea from Trump’s recent visit to Japan during his remarks on Wednesday at the National Gallery of Art’s press preview of its new show, “The Life of Animals in Japanese Art.”
Sugiyama described the president and first lady’s attendance at a sumo match last month, and said the couple seemed very interested in the traditional event. But the president’s presence posed a challenge to the hosts, he revealed. It’s custom for an audience attending a wrestling match to take off their shoes, but for Trump, they provided special slippers to wear. Finding the right size? Not so easy.

As a frequent business traveler to Japan, I can attest to the fact that this
IS a problem for most Gaijin ( non-Japanese people). Everywhere you go where you are required to wear slippers to visit a facility, you find that your heels are two inches off the back end of the one’s they provide. The other “cute deal” is that in buildings where slippers are a requirement, there are also no elevators.
I call “Fake News”. It strains credibility that a reasonably efficient Japanese State Dept would not have ensured getting slippers and other items in the President’s size long ahead of time. Actually, one would have expected the normally-very-efficient White House personal staff to have packed slippers, knowing Trump was going to Japan.

Whenever Leftists end up perfecting obsession projection weapons in alternate realities.
His foot size is not a state secret. All they had to do was have their ambassador ask our ambassador to Japan for the data. I have to wonder if there is some degree of #NeverTrump in Japan. Usually, the Japanese are very careful about such details. For someone to use the phrase “His big feet”, seems unnecessarily rude.
I doubt if he wears a size 20. They have had basketball players visit over the years. No doubt some of them had to shop for shoes at one time or another.
Trump doesn’t care any about this.
(You know...meaning his tenacity...his wallet...his patriotism.)
I love this President.
