Democrats Ask Millionaire Actor To Explain Why He Needs Slave Reparations
Chicks on the Right ^ | 6/15/19 | Ashley (KImber)

I’ve written at length about why I think reparations are absolutely assinine.

Who gets them? Who pays for them? How do we prove the “right” people are receiving them? Why are others being punished for something they had no part in?

So many questions with no right answer. Reparations simply don’t make sense.

But Democrats don’t really care about what makes sense. They care about what creates and reinforces victimhood status…

So they’re asking Danny Glover, a MILLIONARE actor, to come speak on behalf of reparations for African Americans.

You heard that right. A man whose “reported net worth is more than 400 times that of the average American” will now speak on why white people owe black people money.

According to NBC:

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties is scheduled to hold the hearing next Wednesday, its stated purpose “to examine, through open and constructive discourse, the legacy of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, its continuing impact on the community and the path to restorative justice.” The date of the hearing, June 19, coincides with Juneteenth, a cultural holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved black people in America.

Former Democratic Rep. John Conyers of Michigan, the longtime sponsor of House Resolution 40, first proposed the measure calling for a study of reparations in 1989. Conyers reintroduced the bill every session until his resignation in 2017.

Texas Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, the resolution’s new sponsor, introduced it earlier this year and pushed for next week’s hearing. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in February that she supports a reparations study, a topic that hasn’t been the subject of a House hearing since 2007.

Reparations had been a fringe issue and occasional punchline until Coates’ 2014 essay in The Atlantic, “The Case for Reparations,” thrust the topic back into the national discourse. Glover, an activist as well as the star of the “Lethal Weapon” movies and the classics “The Color Purple” and “A Rage in Harlem,” has spoken in favor of the issue for years.

Clearly, Glover’s immense wealth is a sure sign that black people simply cannot succeed in America…

Or something.

When I want thoughtful insight on the issues of the day I listen to bubble dwelling, self absorbed, narcissistic, substance abusing drama queens who got insanely rich parroting lines given to them and playing make believe. And to think when I was a kid I was made fun of for believing pro wrestling was real. Do they really want to go there? I heard racial racketeers boast that the ancient Egyptians were DARK SKINNED AFRICANS. They held the Hebrews in bondage for centuries, over 5000 years ago. Any so called reparations Whitey owes is chump change compared to just the accrued interest on a 5000 yr old debt that's never been repaid.

They still need to pay reparations to white descendants of the Irish who were held as indentured servants after being shipped here by the British without their consent. The reparations should be 40x that afforded African Americans because the Black slaves were valued at 40x that of white Irishmen, therefore hindered 40x as great as the Black Man. The Black Man was ‘da Man in those days, so they better start paying up to the white man if they bring up reparations. /s

I’m in favor....if it involves sending them to Africa one way with a loss of American citizenship, never to return.

I find it fairly hard to believe Danny Glover is worth more than the change in my sofa.

Here’s the deal. You can stay in America or take a reparations check and go back to your ancestors village in Africa. If you take the check, you forfeit your US citizenship.

Let’s see how many take the offer.

Dear Danny,

I never owned a slave.

You never picked cotton.

Move on, chump.

Simply trying to buy votes in any election. Like standing out front of a polling place with a bushel basket full of $100 dollar bills whining, “please vote for me”. Rediculous.

Reparations should be paid to every former slave. Not their descendants. Practically everyone is descended from an enslaved or otherwise oppressed people if you go back far enough.

“Who pays for them?”

Democrats do since they are the ones who owned slaves and started a war keep blacks enslaved. I propose all democrats pay reparations out of their own pocket and leave US taxes the hell out of it. The USA paid reparations already with the blood of 640,000 Union soldiers.

I always like to point out, if not for slavery, most African Americans would not even exist. If you could go back in time, and prevent the pairing of say your great, great, great grandmother to your great, great, great grandfather, it changes every subsequent generation going forward. The forced pairings, the forced relocations changed everything. It’s a harsh and evil way to come into existence, but all of us owe our very existence to the crimes of history. War, slavery, oppression, rape, murder...we are all shaped by them. Every one of us. Good luck sorting out the reparations for all of that.

“I find it fairly hard to believe Danny Glover is worth more than the change in my sofa.”

He wasn’t until he paired up with Mel Gibson.

Every American, regardless of ancestry, should be thankful to live in the United States of America today. No matter where our various ancestors came from or the circumstances under which they came, we are all better off today than we would have been if they had never arrived. All of us are beneficiaries of sacrifices made by our predecessors, and we should be grateful for the birthright they bought for us.

If he was valued as a racist, he would be one of the wealthiest men on earth. As far as dollar wise? he would be a pauper if the only money for his acting came from other Blacks.

it's funny how these assholes never point their fingers at the first American slave owner a Black man, or ever acknowledge those who first sold Africans into slavery, their fellow Africans and Muslims. But hey there is no money to be squeezed from them.

How about the families of former slaves pay reparations to the families of all those Union soldiers that gave life and limb to free them? Oh wait, those were just racist White people doing it for their own benefit..................right?

Black people ought to kiss the ground here and be thankful that somewhere in their families’ distant past an ancestor was driven from his African home by an Arab muslim and sold to a waiting ship, bringing him the the US.

Else if all that had NOT happened, chattel slavery (an Arab invention along with the cell phone bomb) would be unknown in the US and the present day black person would be some muslim’s chattel slave in some African hellhole.

Further, who pays reparations for the black slave owners - or the Native American, aka Indians, slave owners?

The Egyptian were North Africans a mixture at different times in their thousand of years of civilization of different skin colors - there were no slaves. The were either bonded (in debt and working it off) meaning they were very valuable, or willingly submitted to be owned to improve their lives. The concept of blacks as ‘inferiors and fit only for slavery’ comes from the still-current Arab muslim worldview, wherein beatings, mutilation, rape, and pointless murder are justified since blacks are inferior and a new one can be bought at any time; they are replaceable automotons.

America was the first country to end chattel slavery and Republicans are the people who did it - the Republican party was begun because of the Democrat need to have slaves.
