Zot was his name at FR. It was based on the sound the anteater made in the comic “B.C.” Cartoonist Johnny Hart also used the sound for lightning strikes, which is how is has long been used here.

My father also wrote
poems, many of which were published in local papers in New Hampshire and Maine when he flew for SAC in the late 1950s and early 1960s (we were stationed at Pease AFB).
