Had already returned home by then.
Was stationed at Chu Lai.
A-4 mechanic. June 66 to May68.

Condolences on your loss. I’ve been reading your dad’s diary. fascinating insights.

One entry caught my eye,

“Mon 28 Sep - Work on analysis of Ninh Thuan Province article in the Washington Post that looks like it was written or edited in Hanoi. “

The traitorous bastids at the WaPo today have a long history behind them.

Just finished reading your Dad's diary, great stuff.

This reminded me to reread the letters my Dad and I exchanged while I was in Vietnam, 4-70/4-71. I haven't read them in 40 years.

Thank you for making your Dad’s diary available for us. Anyone who reads it will gain an even greater appreciation for our service members. Good to read that Lt. Gibson straightened out and got a kick out of “Mr. very angry duck.”
