Easy to disable Cortana.
Yeah, when I first saw the sexual content I assumed it would be Humblegunner because he or she pretty much turns everything into something sexual.
At what point will Microsoft make it so that you can’t disable Cortana in Windows 10? As one of those still using Win 7 Pro, at least until January 2020, I am not looking forward to moving on.

I installed “Elementary OS” (a Linux distro that mimics the Mac user interface). I’ve been happy with that (and no Cortana!)

Mint is nice for former windows users.
The nice thing about Linux is that you pick a distro that works best for you.

I don't build and use servers, nor corporate networks of computers. Just a few 10 yr old pieces of misc. hardware still more than able to get my "work" done.
When I got a new laptop a couple years ago I disabled Cortana. Can’t recall how I did it, but it drove me crazy. I finally gave the god-forsaken Windows 10 laptop to my husband and bought a Windows 7. Much more civilized.
Well, this is disappointing.
At the bottom of your screen on the left there is a windows icon, right click on it, you get a list above, click on search then when a qindow pups up, put in cortana. Then you get another window, where you get options re. cortana.
