It’s been a long time, but I believe GK Chesterton wrote a story about an Anarchist group that was infiltrated by a policeman. He eventually found out that there were no anarchists in the anarchist group. It was composed 100% of undercover policemen disguised as anarchists.

That does not surprise me, as I recall reading a story some time back about how a couple of young men in the 1970s spoke with Alinsky himself about how to confront a prominent Republican senator who was to visit their locale soon. Alinsky apparently suggested dressing up in KKK outfits and start shouting things at the senator about how dare he betray white people and other racist remarks. They followed this idea and got that great deal of attention on the evening news for their antics and that made the senator look very bad in that indirect way.
