The dog enjoys me cooking for her.

She is ailing from cancer and some other things that have suppressed the desire to eat. Chicken and rice with kibble and a appetite stimulant help.

You are a kind, devoted owner. Lots of good karma coming your way.

I’m so sorry for you and your dog. I went through this with TWO Black Labs, and then my Yellow ended up with Lyme’s Disease, which attacked her kidneys.

I know all about cooking for the dogs and ‘trying to get the dog to eat.’

I LOVE the breed, but I will never have another Lab. It’s too heartbreaking!

Healing prayers for you all.

I had my JRT put to sleep in February, due to so many health issues. But when she got sick and weak, she loved it when I made her a scrambled egg, sometimes with dry toast...chicken, baby foods warmed up that were dog-safe (no onion in them). Sometimes I would grind up dry dog food into a powder and mix it with either wet dog food or baby food and make it into “meatballs” for her. She liked that too.
