I always have problems with blaming people for not having psychic abilities. OK, the Danes didn’t go for Point Barrow. So they subsequently found oil. Hindsight is 20/20. You have to make decisions based on what you know, not what may be known from now till the end of time. Washington Post. ‘nuff said.

Sarah Palin: Trump Can See Greenland from His House

"Now let’s go back to the place Seward eyed first. Greenland is economically valuable because of its immense natural resources. Aside from yuge oil and gas development possibilities and enormously rich fisheries, Greenland has iron ore, lead, zinc, gold, and uranium. But perhaps most importantly, the arctic region, and Greenland in particular, is full of rare earth elements, a crucial material necessary for manufacturing just about everything from computer chips to fiber optics to missiles to tanks and you name it. We need rare earth elements to sustain our manufacturing sector and equip our military. And, as shocking as it is to say this, our country is currently dangerously dependent on China to supply our rare earth metals. Since when is it a good idea to be totally dependent on your strategic enemy for an essential resource? China knows they have us over a barrel on this. In fact, as Breitbart’s John Carney reported last May, Beijing has threatened to “weaponize” our dependence on their rare earths as leverage against us in their trade fight."

They have diamonds? The diamond companies and barons won’t like that. Then they can’t artificially limit the supply.

The FreeStateProject people should ditch New Hampshire, move to Greenland, get a majority there, and then push Denmark for the sale, or barring that have the U.S. on a 99 year lease like the UK had with Hong Kong.

It may,or may not,be a good idea but if Denmark doesn't want to sell then the matter's closed.

Just flying over Greenland gave me the shudders. Nothing but frozen ice and rock. 836,000 square miles that’s uninhabitable by man or beast.

There’s a reason the population is only 56K people. Nobody in their right mind would want to live there.

I think Trump is right on China, and may be right on Greenland.

Trump should see if the Danes would trade California for Greenland. Now there’s a good deal. We could throw in CNN and the drive by media too.

The idea of buying Alaska from Russia was called a "folly" in the 19th century ("Seward's Folly)... a vast empty wasteland filled with snow and nothing else... crazy!!!

Trump is getting the same treatment. History repeats.

I wonder if the Lefties are saying that we should give Alaska back. Canada would enjoy having Russia as a new bordering neighbor?

Buy Greenland. Build WWII type barracks as housing for temporary holding areas. Move illegal aliens who are caught directly to those holding areas. Supply them with left over C-rations and see how quick others will want to come to the US. The length of their stay is however long it takes them to request their home country to pay their way back to it.

Any idiot can see that Greenland is part of Canada.

I had never heard of Truman offering Point Barrow to Denmark. That's as crazy as the U.S. trying to buy Hong Kong or Malta.

There is a lot more to Greenland than ice. There is also mining to be done. I am certain that both President Trump and the Chinese are aware of this.
