Their website is strangely opaque for an Austin, TX, startup and doesn’t sound quite totally American in its conventions and use of English.
They have an affiliate program that pays sites for signing up new users and something just doesn’t feel right about it.
Then I found this: https://borncity.com/win/2018/03/26/is-flashpeak-inc-shipping-slimjet-browser-with-a-backdoor/
Good detective work
Thanks for the link.
I had been using Google’s Chrome for years but noticed it was getting slower & more bloated. Then I discovered it had been adding tracking software.
I discovered Slimjet from another freeper and tried it - MUCH faster.
I run MalwareBytes and no virus has ever been found.
ps: I’ve tried FF, Brave, Vivaldi, etc - all run as slow and bloated as Chrome.
