When the 2008 race ended, and Palin returned to Alaska, the leftist/statist/RINO mad pursuit of her there was on the fringe of national news, and they ultimately succeeded in nearly bankrupting her and driving her from office.
I almost feel a secret deal was made - you (Palin) leave office, and we will make sure you are paid off with book and TV deals, just like every other politician who leaves office and makes room for the next place-holder.
She greatly disappointed me when she resigned. If she had been able to stay and see it through, she would have been a generational leader of the Republican Party.
