I can forgive “Dumb as a stump.” But to be dumb as a stump and still be completely filled with conceit and syrupy condescension is repulsive.
Well as everybody here knows, I am sure, all the communists, socialists, eco-fascists and various special interest groups will get in behind this movement to achieve all of their left-wing dreams under the general excuse of fighting the largely imaginary “problem” of climate change.
It’s not even a problem as advertised, seeing large amounts of land deglaciated in a world bursting at the seams with now almost eight billion people is a good thing, there needs to be more space for people to live. An ice-free arctic (in summer at least) is good for navigation purposes. A small rise in sea level can be easily mitigated over time, it’s not as if the sea level will rise overnight to unmanageable heights. People talk about a two or three foot sea level rise as some major catastrophe, but who lives that close to sea level? Almost nobody does, in many cases the coastal urban areas are ten to thirty feet above sea level if not higher, even along the immediate coast.
So all of this is a vastly inflated much ado about nothing, but of course behind the scenes, it’s not really about climate change at all, it’s about promoting a green economy for the benefit of certain players who are heavily invested, and then enslaving the middle class who will be paying through the nose for energy and electricity.
The end game is to control the populations so that only elites have much mobility. That way, their parks, golf courses, and highways will be almost empty, perfect for their own enjoyment. Marinas will be less crowded. Elites will have a paradise, paid for by generous salaries and pensions that can be raised through carbon taxes. The rest of us will be paycheck to paycheck, if we’re lucky, then retiring on butkus after paying these high taxes.
It hasn’t fully hit in America yet, but it’s already well underway in most other western countries. Don’t let it happen to you.
