Right now I would say the odds are in favor of what you were saying. There is no bloodless answer. It’s possible and it’s very probable.

If we were talking about the older generation of Rats I would agree. They knew the wisdom of the long, slow and silent approach.
The new generation of Rats have been coddled and handed everything their entire lives. Just look at “the squad” of AOC, Tlaib, etc.
Hussein enabled the antifa and blm movements which are filled with people who have no impulse control because no one has ever told them “NO”.
The new generation of Rats is pushing the old generation into positions they don’t want to take such as the current impeachment drive. Pelosi knows it’s a losing move but she has no choice. The Terrible Children her side nurtured and raised is demanding to drive the car. Even if they drive it over a cliff.
As for vigilantes and militias...their time may come. But not quite yet.

While I agree with enforcing the law our POTUS is in the unenviable position of having to rely on those “nattering nabobs”.
While you or I may know the law and see how it should be applied all politicians walk a fine line.
As a friend who has worked in the White House for decades once told me “D.C. is a small club and outsiders are excluded from day one.”
To do everything he wants to do President Trump would have to go to war with every other branch of government and he would lose in short order.
I think a really important theoretical question is “ who would lead?” Theoretically, If the first person to overtly object is viewed as a “kook “ not many will jump in. But if it’s someone that is viewed as a leader, the result would be different. I think this might apply to most situations.
We kicked their asses in 2018 in legitimate votes but still had the house “harvested” and stolen away. The voter fraud coming in 2020 would make Richard Daley and LBJ blush. The hot civil war starts when the left’s election cheating makes it impossible for Republicans to win elections. Other than the possibility of Trump winning in 2020, the left’s apparatus to steal the presidency every four years is up and running. Dark days ahead, pray for our children and country.
It ain’t gonna be that kind of war. Democrat politicians will just be assasinated. It will be that kind of war. Cities will have their power lines cut. There will be riots in those cities. It will be that kind of war. When the survivors have had enough it will be over. It will be that kind of war.
Meanwhile in the rest of the world every conflict the US has restrained will be off the leash. Feuds millennia old will re-ignite. The bloodshed here will be nothing compared to the bloodshed there. Israel will be attacked. It will be that kind of war.
I have thought and said that for a couple of years.
That kind of war means that you will never know who is friend or enemy when you are in a public place.

You read to many dystopian fantasy novels. The mid west will not devolve into chaos. They will also not stayed tied to stinking sinking ship, the USA. The union will dissolve. My understanding from reading a French newspaper is that Palestinian leader Abbas is threatening to tear up past agreements with Israel. My understanding of French is so-so.
