I check every charge that shows up on my credit cards.
I’ll typically go through the online statements every other month or so and check 2 months at a time.

Over the years I’ve seen a “travel package” that I would never sign up for, a “card insurance” plan and a “roadside assistance” plan. These were all in the $30 range.

The best was a card that I hadn’t used in over a year suddenly showing $3,000 at various restaurants on the other end of the country. The only time my wallet was out of my possession was after an accident when it was taken by the EMT’s and held by the police. The charges showed up about a month later.
