I have. Conversely, I was sexually harassed by a mentally ill man identifying as a woman at work and punished by HR for:
* not agreeing with his identity, calling it IT or its name over “she”
* not socializing with it as it wanted, including my boss begging me to go to drinks, dinner, lunch as it wanted (and I’m married)
* reporting its behavior when it followed me into bathrooms, even when I went across the building and downstairs to try to have privacy
* reporting sexual harassment when it criticized my hair, clothing and behavior in an effort to tear me down and lift itself up
I was told that it was my fault for not being supportive when it came out and later had surgery. That it wasn’t sexual harassment when it was a woman, and I was formally reprimanded for abusing the ethics hotline for reporting the HR rep who kept putting it all on me. They only sanctioned IT once, when it was interfering in my work performance and that extended a customer outage by two hours. It blamed me. They called in a third party who proved it had done it, playing with my system permissions so I couldn’t restart services ... and I reported that to every manager who screamed at me demanding to know what happened. That embarrassed my manager. They let me change roles to avoid IT, but then they added more and more responsibilities and called it “growing talent”. I stayed until we’d paid off debt, then quit.
I work with sane people now. My boss doesn’t like Rush Limbaugh, but there’s no issue if I have Dennis Prager in the background.
I’m sorry to hear that, it only take one experience like that to cause a visceral reaction to this garbage. This is exactly why there’s a growing backlash against the LGBT nonsense, it’s institutional tyranny of normal people.
It is lucky you didn’t take it out in the woods and leave it in an unmarked grave. What a horror story!
