By putting Schiff in charge of impeachment Pelosi washed her hands of the whole thing. She gave the nutcase RAT electorate what they wanted, but she won’t get the blame when this thing ultimately bombs, which it already has. She essentially threw bug-eyed Schiff under the bus and saved her own hide.

That’s pretty much how I see it. Pelosi is a lot of things, but she’s no dummy, she’s survived this long because she knows how to play the game.

She’s the leader. She made a bad decision. Getting rid of Schiffty right after making Nadler the Hutt go silent should rebound on her judgement. She’s down 2 chairmen. Her acquiescence damages her party, her tenure and the case she greenlighted. She should fall on her sword.
