There is NO PATH TO THE WHITE HOUSE FOR THE DEMS THIS CYCLE, regardless of their nominee...
Short of a complete economic collapse or some other black swan event of that magnitude before next November, there is not a single path for any Democrat to 1600 PA Avenue.
Joe will probably do the BEST of all of them, but none of them can win it... Best case for the Dems is about 15 states plus DC.... and honestly they are currently nowhere near a best case scenario.
Sadly for the DemocRATS.... Biden was their best bet. Nobody else in the field of fools stands a chance against the Donald and he will likely beat them all.
The establishment Democrats know it because to win, they need Trump voters to vote for them and Biden (as bumbling and stumbling as he is) is their best bet for that sort of miracle.
That's the concern.
AND it turns out Hispanics often vote for what's best for the county - not just what lines their pockets... So Hispanics aren't as 'reliable' as the black community.

I fail to understand how Joe Biden's blood libel of an honest, working class man that would be Curtis Dunn, the truck driver involved in the accident in which Biden's first wife and daughter in 1972, somehow endears Biden to working class voters in the Rust Belt. And if I fail to see how Biden blatantly lying that Mr. Dunn "drank his lunch instead of eating it" and therefore caused the fatal accident is good for him in the Rust Belt, I'm pretty sure the Trump campaign will fail to see it as well and let the voters there know what the media have mostly been hiding. Just another reason for hating the same media who for almost 30 years cannot have the slightest mention of Dan Quayle without making sure to bring up potatoe, but can't say word one about this with Biden.

All the "traditional democrat strongholds" have seen what staying solidly democrat has done for the with the past three Presidents and what Trump has done for them in four years. Even the dumbest "traditional democrat" can see the difference.

There are already plenty of pretenders on the loose trying to soften support for Trump and throwing whatever crap they can on the wall hoping it sticks. They and their Republocrat masters will double down once the campaign starts in earnest.
They're all the little Mitt clones who would rather screw the country with socialist like Warren than have Trump get a second term. In spite of millions of Americans being ruined by a Socialist in the White House, Republocrats look down the road and prefer running against that sort of incumbent than against eight years of Trump's record and possibly another dark horse who promises to keep America First rather than going back to "collegial bipartisanship".
