It’s perfectly obvious that the Democrats plan to move the American judicial system toward a “no defense witnesses allowed, no exculpatory material admitted into evidence” model, and will if they can select judges who believe in that system.

If I were a Republican Senator, I would be making that point every chance I get.

What they can do to the President, they can certainly do to any of us.

Then the democrats won’t mind if Republicans in the Senate do the same. They won’t. But that is because they will be able to charge democrat witnesses with perjury and have them prosecuted.
