Most people dont know the guy who coined the ham sandwich phrase later ended up in his own scandal over kidnapping threats. He was a Chief Judge who went to prison

I did a DuckDuckgo.com search to find out who the judge was, (I absolutely refuse to use google and use lower case letter on purpose.

Anyway the judge was Sol Wachtler, the former chief judge of New York state, who coined the term in a January 1985 interview with the New York Daily News’ Marcia Kramer and Frank Lombardi.
