Scripture does teach, there will be a great falling away (apostacy) in the church, there will be a “form of godliness” which denies salvation in Christ alone (paraphrased), there will be a global insurgency of false teachers and doctrine, AND people “...will have itching ears”, seeking to only hear what makes them feel good about living in sin, and being their own gods.
That is humanism 101.
Basically ‘a social gospel’ will continue to rise and increase as we see presented in a lot of mega churches and in the Emergent Churches today who seek a self-styled Christianity rather than the biblical version.
...”But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”.... Galatians 1:8-9
