We have fought six wars with Canada, more than with any other country. However, in the first four, we were English and Canada was French, and in the final two, we were independent and Canada was English. They are as follows:

• The War of the League of Augsburg (1688-1697)

• The War of the Spanish Succession (1701-1714)

• The War of the Austrian Succession (1740-1748)

• The Third Silesian War (1754-1763)

• The War of the American Revolution (1775-1783)

• The War of 1812 (1812-1815)
