It’s important, especially if you’re one of the pearl clutching goat like fainters (not suggesting that you are), to keep President Trump’s roots four square in your mind.
His father, Fred Trump, *begged* his son not to try to break into NYC commercial real estate. Fred wanted his son to stay on Long Island and make a good living.
NY was just to brutal, too harsh, and too ugly for his son. And too hard to crack into.
He would have to spend his life surrounded by back stabbers, double dealing foreigners, unreliable staff, corrupt government inspectors and labor racketeers.
He seems to have been able to handle himself ok.
