Take a gander at the new De Young Museum in San Francisco. Brutal, cold, soul-sucking “architecture” hailed by Leftists. It honestly looks like a rusted shell of some other building. I visited with a lefty friend a few years ago (who has subsequently gone completely off the deep end...). I was literally aghast at seeing the thing. He, I thought strangely at the time, really really really liked it.
I think it’s designed to look like a rustbelt factory, complete with cooling towers.
It’s pretty damned ugly.
