I remember that he got religion in his last years. Actually always had a bit of it even when sinning.

The movie didn’t even mention it as far as I know.

What’s the problem with Johnny Cash? I am not aware of any negatives. Nothing sacred anymore.

Folsom Prison Blues--Johnny Cash (1956)

This is an interesting tune. The protagonist is in prison in Folsom, Calif. for a crime committed in Nevada--a different jurisdiction. The prison is near a railroad along which passing trains head "on down to San Antone." However, "San Antone," aka San Antonio Valley, about 100 miles southwest of Folsom, has never had rail service.

In any case,

Johnny's was truly best Columbo episode evah! Who didn't feel sorry for his being caught. Even Columbo seemed sad to have nailed him. Edna "needed killin'" as they say.

I Saw the Light.

I’ve been reading the book. It’s really good. Always loved Johnny and Greg.

His wife, June Carter Cash, whom I consider a gift from God to Johnny, took hold of him and introduced him to the love of Jesus. Mama Maybelle surely had some influence, as well.
